Point o’ Lights Organizational Change

Leaders are often befuddled by the challenge of getting everyone committed to the company’s goals or a new direction. They ask the Human Resources or the Communications Department to design a get-the-word out program. A year later, nothing has happened.

Our Point o’ Lights Program recognizes that key leaders at different levels throughout the organization, hold the key to cultural change. By focusing a coaching program on the high potential individuals and the thought leaders, we help the organization coalesce around the organization’s SMART goals.

So how does it work?

We typically start by bringing the top executives together in a series of twelve 2 to 3 hours sessions in our Executive Leadership process. After a few weeks, the executives have defined a new vision, reaffirmed their personal and organizational values, set goals for all elements of the organization and laid out an action plan.

During the process, the executives identify the high potential individuals throughout the organization. These individuals are the points of light for organizational change.

After the direction is set, we engage each of the high potential individuals in our Contex-U-all(TM) executive coaching process that can be conducted face to face or by telephone conferencing. The process is a series of 12 one to two hour confidential coaching sessions using our professionally designed, proprietary process. During the process, we emphasize the top level goals set by the executives and help the high potential person develop goals and actions that support the organization.

Although the individual sessions are confidential, collectively, they provide a unique view of how the organization works and its day to day issues. That collective feedback then becomes a vital source of information to help the executives in their leadership role.
